Estos son algunos de los objetivos y actividades que la AJONCE está planificando para el futuro. Por favor, dinos si tienes ideas para apoyar estas actividades y si te gustaría participar.
- Una nueva red trans-fronteriza que pueda reunir a los jóvenes de todas las comunidades Cofanes en Ecuador y en Colombia.
- Reforzar la lengua Cofán a través del intercambio entre comunidades en Ecuador y Colombia, la creación de un alfabeto y la mejora del curriculum escolar con un mayor énfasis en el conocimiento tradicional.
- La Casa Cofán de Conocimiento Tradicional (casa de yajé) se concertirá en un referente de la cultura Cofán, así como en un centro donde se puede transmitir conocimientos Shamanicos y tradicionales a las nuevas generaciones.
- En estos momentos la caza y pesca tradicional es escasa debido a la polución del aire y a la contaminación de los ríos. Proyectos de producción orgánica, como pescerías tradicionales, se pueden desarrollar en varias comunidades para poder generar una renta básica que pueda sostener a la organización y al mismo tiempo contribuir a la seguridad alimentaria de los Cofanes. Las experiencias de este proyecto serán registradas con vistas a difundir este aprendizaje al resto de las comunidades Cofán.
- Un voluntario local o internacional será elegido para apoyar a la AJONCE en su gestión, y elevar el perfil de AJONCE a nivel local e internacional.
- Miembros de la AJONCE actuarán como Agentes de Monitoreo Ambiental en sus comunidades y harán incidencia local y nacionalmente para la recuperación de los territorios contaminados en el territorio Cofán.

These are some of the objectives and activities AJONCE is planning for the future. Please let us know if you have any ideas to support these activities and if you would like to get involved.
- A new cross border network is formed which brings together young people from all Cofán communities in Ecuador and Colombia.
- The Cofán language is strengthened through the exchange between communities in Ecuador and Colombia, the creation of an alphabet and the improvement of the school curriculum is strengthened with more emphasis on traditional knowledge.
- The Cofan Traditional Knowledge House will become a referent of the Cofan culture and history, as well as a centre for transmitting cultural and Shamanic learnings to the new generations.
- At the moment traditional game and fishing is scarce due to the pollution of the air and the contamination of the river. Organic production projects, such us traditional fish farming, will be developed in various communities in order to generate the basic income to sustain the organization and at the same time contribute to the food security of the Cofans. Learning from this project is carefully recorded with a view to learning and diffusion of experiences throughout the COFAN communities.
- A local and/or international volunteer will be appointed in order to support AJONCE managing the organization and raising the profile and demands of AJONCE locally and internationally.
- Members of AJONCE will become Environmental Monitoring agents in their communities and will lobby locally and nationally for the restoration of the contaminated areas in Cofan territory.
